it has been a hectic one month interviewing employees, figuring out clause of employment contract, brainstorming ideas, lecture on human resource managment & engaging in non stop heated conversation with my boss. but work has somewhat ceased for the time being while i reluctantly accept the fact of yet another opening of a new semester with a totally headache combination of modules to keep up with. its almost a suicidal blend. work has temporarily put on hold until everything is in place. its time to put things in place & start to prioritise. time waits for no one.

糟了！！七天下来的辛苦健身已在一小时前给浪费了。我现在的肚子仿佛像今夜元宵的月亮一样大一样圆。说真的还蛮爽的。呵呵！！最重要的是能够和家人一起共度元宵。奇怪的是今年根本没有感觉到农历新年的气氛。就是那连压税和小赌吧。都起不了什么以前小时候的回忆。那一份期待的兴奋。可能是长大了吧，懂事多了吧，哈哈！重要的是能够珍惜家人的情系陪伴。

it wasn't the only thing but it definitely was the biggest regret of my life thus far. i'm Sorry. & i sincerely apologise to people i've hurt but yet i've done nothing & do not have the courage to face you with an apology. I'm sorry. regret. a negative state of conciousness and emotional reaction to individuals past action or behaviour. the thing about experience is that it gives you an honest reply. but ask yourself, have you done anything about it ? we are who we are because of the choices we made yesterday but tomorrow is another chance to change your life, for the better or the worse, answer it yourself. Day 8. before we knw it, it was alrdy the last day of the roadtrip. time just flew by. if only we could stay longer was the only thought that lingered ard us. nonetheless, the spirits were still as high. carpe diem as we roamed ard the city of Perth but not before we had an awesome breakfast pinic at Kings park munching on our all time favourite Red Rock Deli Chips as we camwhore on the green pastures. next up was window shopping ard the city before settling down our sore feet on Perth hot spot cafe; The Kings Street Cafe situated in the midst of all high end boutiques for their cakes & pastries to satisfy our sweet tooth. last stop was to Curtin University for a lil inside tour by our big sis Shuling before we reluctantly dragged our feets to Perth International Airport.

Day 7. eagerly woke up to satisfy our cravings. stomach cravings of course. & little did we know that tis lil breakfast sparked off the day of munching. the day we ate like mad. it was Hungry Jacks, the local version of Burger King before we hit da streets to Fremantle Market & the long hours spent being 'locked up' in Fremantle Prison as we walked until our legs went sore & our stomachs started to growl. it was Cicerello Fish'N'Chips along Australia's Largest Fishing Boat Harbour for dinner followed by desert at Baskin'Robins, intentionally slurping it out in the cold weather. not forgetting our chillax daily booze affair as we head down to Little Creature Brewery for the best beer i've ever tasted. & our mouth started munching again. however, the day couldn't be complete without supper as we head back & literally dump all the food we had left for the trip. it was scary.

Day 6. it was a heart thumping night in the darkness, with howling wind & slamming doors frm the harsh weather just a wall away, which rattle our nerves as we try to slp. nevertheless, it was a goood beginning as we woke up to our long awaited exotic oven grilled Kangaroo meat galore for breakfast before we set off a long journey to finish our itinerary in Margaret Rover & to hit da road back to Perth. we set off for The Gap; another magnificent limestone landscape before we embark on our journey to live up to our Name as ThamJiakQueen&Kings & of course our Nationality for wine & food tasting. it was also where we committed a our third crime.

been up to my neck coping with studies & trainings. nothing else. absolutely nothing else cld be squeezed in. not even recovery phase. jus when the momentum sets in with everything adjusted, tuned & going on well. i injured my lower trapezius. which kinda cease my trainings. damn it. bad time for an injury. if tt wasn't enough, sunday time trial was a disappointment. a double whammy indeed. sigh.

after days of fighting the daylight & rushing against time, we decided to slow down our pace on tis laid back beautiful morning along the street of Margaret River. everything was perfect except the frequent passing rain & gushing wind that leaves us jumping frm shop to shop browsing every single lil nitty gritty stuff jus to seek shelter. after much "Siam-ing" we decided to "Siam" to the car instead to proceed with our itnerary to Cape Leeuwin & Windhole.

gorging ourselves with frozen processed food had made us all craved for some decent non soupy non steamboat cooked food & to make things simple to accomodate to our travelling time. we headed down to the local Subway to temporary satisfy our deprivation. especially so for the carnivorous us, the absence of meat had made us go a lil gaga. evidently shown after dinner every night & yayy the morning after which. (please see the attached photo No.2)

yes its quite scary.

the Journey began when we were headin down to Margaret River. fighting the sunlight, i was cruising down the uneven country side road at an average of 140km/h tt woke everybody in the rear view mirror up. the fear tt we might be lost somewher when our GPS system started feedin us with wrong signal. what's worse was the car was running low on petrol with the driver's (me) bladder on the verge of bursting. wide awake we take every possible turns until we reach tis small little town. thankgod.

Margaret River where our fear sets in. shortly after we parked our in car in the garage. the connecting door to the house started slamming itself. when all doors & shutters ard us were all tight shut. we all stood still for a moment before the superstitious us knock on the door & proceed cautiously. but the fear was gone instantly as the house took our breath away.

before we thought everything going smoothly as we settled down to prepare our dinner. the lights went off in the kitchen. electric box tripped. fear revisited. all because of a faulty toaster. haha

fought the first taste of what cold really meant, we survived the night. the only comfort we sought was the heater on the floor in the bathroom. & for once bathing was a pain in the ass. it froze our butts. & before i forget, temperature outside was roughly 5°C & the wind seeped in any gaps u can find in the house. conquered the night & we were all up & ready to take on the road to Albany estimated 410km away from Perth but not with an empty stomach, we decided to try the local Mcdonald. living up to the name of our Motherland, the ThamJiakQueens committed the first Crime.

410km away, located in the Great Southern region of Western Australia, welcomed by the clustered town of 25,196 pop. facing the southern coast. our warm cozy little hut was located near Middleton Beach. it was so beautiful it took off our weariness. the house was simply jus filled with awe.

rushing against the day light we set off for our first tour. Albany's Windfarm standing at 65m tall & 75m in diameter. simply spectacular expecially against the awesome backdrop of sun setting.

been up to my neck with hectic school work & trainings. trainings with mind filled with unfinished readings, deadlines & practices needed to be done aint something very welcoming. substaining aches tt leaves me stoning back at home minimising any movements as much as possible. no doubt training is time consuming & demanding but i do not wanna give up on something again. as much as i could handle, i'm not gonna let it jeopardise my studies. pardon me my Tham Jiak Queens & Kings. not to worry the Australia trip is still vivid & fresh in my mind. well, gotta make a move for training. so long.

5:14am. barely slept for 3hours & i'm up with a cup of kopi-O gao infront of me. probably due to the adrenaline pumped land training i had & a McCafe Iced-Latte topped up with Extra Value Meal tt for the first time came in a Toyota Wish instead of ear-piercing hole punctured exhaust bike tt usually sounded its arrival ten blocks away. land training was good, explored different muscle grp but the runnin was killin, on top of tt, the post workout pain is setting in even so that protein shake & endless stretching are of no help. gotta checkout the upcoming sea training again though & not to mention the workload before i make my committment. 3rd wk of sch. & everything starting to crash in.

the trip was a rough idea during one of our regular meetup tt sparked off a series of excitement. tis raw plan indeed fell into place. it was like a dream. neither of us cld actually believe it was happening. it was too good to be true. but it did. 6 of us, came back together for tis 10th Anniversary Trip since graduation frm pri school. its almost unbelievable how close we are. the bond we share is unbelievable. even until today, we cld not believe this trip actually took place. to the few of us it was a virgin road trip. the process was so smooth tt fear stepped in, we fear something somewhat may just crush everything we awaited for, frm the excitement frm the facebook inbox of 161 messages to the price of the airtickets to airport taxes to checking in, every single itsy bitsy tiny weenie detail we checked, then, we double checked. the next thing we knw we went thru the custom. & after we woke up, we made our dream come through. Perth, that is.

just finished my lil run, some flight of stairs & some weights after a wk rest from the torturing Saucony Passion Run tt took place last Sunday along the heated pavement of East Coast Park. the blazing heat was unbearable. nevertheless, with the company of my sister yvonne & as far as my legs could take me, we managed to finished it without stopping for the full 10.4km tt seems forever. clocking it at 1:12:45:12 coming in at position 609/1348. it wasn't a feat & what's worse my stamina has dropped. oh well, only got myself to blame.

so much for a finisher Medal.

~~slightly delighted yet~~ greatly disappointed. 10km with increasing lane every round, i managed to clock it in 58mins 55secs. not a feat, but a goal tt i've achieved. however, it aint good enough. infact, come to think of it. the result was bad. 2.4 timing was bad. its not up to mark. what made it worst was i didn't complete the intended 30 rounds. with a throbbing headache & queasy stomach i stopped & gave up after the 25th round. hit an all time low. 5 more rounds & i wouldn't be feelin so miserable & fustrated now. let aside all these whining, xjiahua aint crushed yet. 30 rounds by the end of this yr. ya maybe wondering like many had asked why i'm doing tis to myself. it is a form of punishment. why ? ya dun wanna knw. its scary.

jus back frm TTSH A&E. a lowdown on wad happened, my right rib cage was rammed by this signal mounting set protruding at the side of tis MB240 jeep while shifting it when tis coolie infront squatted down.. WhaM!!! my whole right upper body momentarily went paralysed as my body squished to the right in pain. it was unbearable. i cld hear myself screaming, felt my lungs pierced by a broken rib. the guitar string snapped. the treshold was reached. tt moment seems forever. i managed to recover. only to experience the depth of the aftermath when i sneeze, cough or laugh. fear tt my rib cage might get fractured. i headed down reluctantly. got an x-ray done up. suspected there are light cracks on my rib cage.

damn it wld hav been totally awesome if i wasn't down with flu & fever. suspect it cld hav been the dehydration frm the run. was desperately drowning my body with fluids the amount ya can never imagine to get myself prep up for the day but sad to say i only managed to salvage half of the battle while the other half recovered through series of surprises & laughters.

a scoresheet estimated to be roughly tt of the new balance real run but at a slower & steadier pace. guess 10km under an 50minutes wont be that farfetch. wont say tt is totally smooth sailing especially the last 2.5km or so was mentally torturting. the struggle to breathe & pain to bear never fails to make me love running so much. half marathon next yr ? yayy gotta be a non stop 21km.

frm outfield last week filled with uncle toby bar tunalicious meal & surviving commando mosquitoes tt cld literally pierce through the unifrom mirco fibre pores & sting through it, only to realise the red spots surfacing after 3 days. no complaints because the scenery at night took it all up, beautifully lit up by full moon with stars like Orion tt eventually brought ya presence there beside me out in the wild. for a moment it took me away into infinity. but only to realise it was long gone tt i didn't treasure it & i'm hit by the real truth of reality.

4km of trail + 0.6km of sand & 5.4km of tarmac. despite my own training it was more difficult than i thought. the energy needed to lift ya feet off rocks, gravels, soft & hardened soil just drain ya out totally even before hitting the tarmac. but what was killing was the >45degree slanted sandy beach that seems forever. many instances i needed to stop badly becus of a bad side stitch but there aint room for that but just you. thank you. i missed my timing. hopefully i clocked it under an hour. results in 2 wks time. although its just a mere 10km run & to many it wasn't a feat, to all those muscle defined bods with gears all over, but yet on my trail, just gotta accept the fact of smelling my sweat & try harder next time round.

think ya hav the stomach room of what it takes to be the 2nd Takeru Kobayashi just take up the New York New York Yankee Burger worth $32.80 Challenge. only a rough 14 able to take it all out of 150 odd participants. if ya able to handle it, just walk it out with this free meal & a free float, that is if ya can still take it, if not, give up & call for the bill. just a lil info, the burger & chunks of fries are enough for 4 but ya being dared to take it alone. although the picture dun really do justice shall let ya hav a preview of it.

if ya haven been invited to my hse before its just because it was in a shitty state. water leaking, walls cracking, paints flaking off. all thanks to the previous contractor shabby work. got no choice but to withstand the drilling, hammer pounding, bamboo & metal scaffolding surrounding & within the house, toilet sharing, smell of new paint & dust all over worth of renovation for 2weeks.

i returned to that room to seek an answer or merely jus seeking someone to talk to. a portion of what it used to be the orange lighted room still filled with radiant energy. the room was solemn with respect & warmth with care. welcoming me, a figure held high by many, being laser etched on a transparent glass. people were in there because of him. a centre glass panel was the sole focus. i creaked my way through the lacquered wooden floor to an elongated grey cushion seat with wooden backrest, where i find myself spending the sunday afternoon in. the only sounds in the room were rosary beads falling back on each other, pages of the bible rustling against one another, other than that was my own voice in my head, crying in my heart. i closed my eyes & tears from my tear duct just came oozing into the brink of my eye socket forcing streams of tears down my cheekbones. surrounding me were glances of old people scrutinizing me. it didn't stop. my mind was in a swirl, it lost its function & tears just kept streaming down. nobody seems to care except him. i tried to hold sway over myself & talked, somehow i guess his presence there to listen to me managed to subdue me as i reminiscence about the past. it was all that is left to keep me going & smiling. thank you. tears dried up leaving streaks of dried marks on my cheeks with swollen eyes i apologised & thanked. i left the place in a hustle with regrets. i dont wish to be seen. i knw i will be back for the good or the worse i do not know.. but deep down i do know that i still do. i'm holding on.

ironically, wedding bells were ringing joyously in the atmosphere when all these were going on & the supposedly other half of the room became a free clinic.

running up & down paya lebar crecent, cutting into lorong ah soo & down into upper serangoon road was no joke at all. i didn't knw how i managed to keep up with this running after a 2wk stop. it wasn't easy especially with a side stitch at the early start. but the pain was nothing compared to my aunt who had recently lost her other half & it was nothing compared to my heartache. i held on & i still do. it was what kept me going & have me hoping still. this momentum was interrupted by overtime that lasted till 10 everynight for the past weeks & not mentioning the fact that the overtime started 6 months back. i neglected but i gave & never did i expect the mutual understanding came down to this. & like i said i still do.
